Coaching Agreement
Last Updated: March 14, 2026
This Coaching Agreement ("Agreement") governs your participation in coaching and formation services provided by FINDING LLC, a Missouri S-Corporation doing business as Finding Adam Finding Eve ("FAFE," "we," "us," or "our"). By enrolling in or using any coaching services, you ("Client," "you," or "your") agree to the terms of this Agreement.
This Agreement should be read together with our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and AI Transparency Policy.
1. Nature of Coaching Services
1.1 What Coaching Is
FAFE coaching is a faith-based formation service rooted in Catholic teaching. Our coaches provide:
- Guidance, support, and accountability focused on personal growth, relationship readiness, and spiritual development
- Education based on Catholic teaching, Sacred Tradition, Scripture, the Magisterium, and Theology of the Body
- Practical relationship skills, communication strategies, and discernment support
- A companion on your journey toward authentic, lasting, sacramental love
1.2 What Coaching Is NOT
IMPORTANT: FAFE coaching services are NOT:
- Licensed mental health therapy, clinical counseling, or psychological treatment
- Medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
- Legal advice or representation
- A substitute for professional mental health care, medical care, pastoral counseling, spiritual direction, or the Sacraments
- Crisis intervention or emergency services
If you are in crisis: Contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988), the National Domestic Violence Hotline (1-800-799-7233), or emergency services (911).
1.3 Coach Qualifications
FAFE coaches are trained facilitators who have completed the FAFE Coaching Training Program. They are not licensed mental health professionals, therapists, or medical practitioners unless separately credentialed in those fields. Any separate professional credentials a coach may hold are independent of their role as a FAFE coach.
2. Coaching Service Tiers
FAFE offers coaching through a tiered system:
| Level | Service | Format | Availability |
|---|---|---|---|
| Level 0 | Virtual Insights Chat | AI-powered chat | 24/7 |
| Level 1 | Message a Coach | Asynchronous text messaging | 24–48 hour response |
| Level 2 | Group Coach Session | Live group session (small group) | Scheduled |
| Level 3 | 1:1 Coaching Session | Private session (video or in-person) | By appointment |
2.1 AI-Powered Coaching (Level 0)
The Virtual Insights Chat is powered by artificial intelligence and draws from a database of over 11,900 verified Catholic teaching passages. You acknowledge that:
- Level 0 interactions are with an AI system, not a human coach
- AI responses are for informational and formational purposes only and do not constitute professional advice
- You may request to interact with a human coach at any time
- See our AI Transparency Policy for complete details
2.2 Human Coaching (Levels 1–3)
Levels 1 through 3 involve interaction with trained human coaches. At these levels:
- Human coaches may use AI tools to assist in preparation, but all direct coaching interactions are human-delivered
- A human coach reviews and validates any AI-generated insights before incorporating them into coaching recommendations
3. Client Responsibilities
As a coaching client, you agree to:
- Engage Honestly: Be truthful and forthcoming with your coach about your circumstances, goals, and challenges.
- Participate Actively: Take ownership of your growth by engaging in the coaching process, completing any agreed-upon exercises, and reflecting on insights.
- Make Your Own Decisions: You are solely responsible for all decisions you make about your relationships, life, and personal choices. Your coach's role is to help you reflect and discern — not to make decisions for you.
- Seek Professional Help When Needed: If you are experiencing mental health concerns, trauma, abuse, addiction, or other issues that require professional intervention, seek help from a qualified licensed professional. Inform your coach if you are currently receiving professional treatment.
- Respect Boundaries: Honor the coaching relationship's professional boundaries, including scheduled session times, communication channels, and your coach's role limitations.
- Maintain Safety: Do not use coaching sessions to plan, discuss, or carry out activities that may harm yourself or others.
4. My Story Profile
The My Story profile is a voluntary, detailed personal history that enriches the coaching experience. It may include:
- Current relationship status and dating history
- Faith journey and spiritual practice
- Life circumstances (career, location, goals)
- Family background and formative experiences
- Areas you are actively working on
4.1 Your Control
- You choose what information to include in your My Story profile
- You may update or remove information at any time
- You may request that your My Story profile not be shared with a coach (though this may limit coaching personalization)
4.2 Coach Access
- Your assigned coach will have access to your My Story profile to provide context for coaching sessions
- If your coaching relationship ends and you are assigned a new coach, relevant My Story information may be transferred with your consent
- My Story data is never shared with other users, used for matching, or made publicly visible
5. GIFT Couples Assessment
The GIFT (Growth in Faith Together) Couples Assessment is a specialized pre-engagement discernment tool. If you and your partner participate:
5.1 Mutual Consent
- Both partners must independently consent to participate in the GIFT Assessment
- Both partners must agree to share results with each other and with the assigned coach
- Either partner may withdraw consent at any time, which will end the couples coaching engagement for both parties
5.2 Scope
- The GIFT Assessment evaluates alignment in values, faith, goals, and relational readiness
- Results are intended to facilitate discussion, prayer, and discernment — not to make engagement or marriage decisions for you
- The assessment does not predict relationship success or failure
5.3 Data Handling
- GIFT Assessment results are shared between both partners and the assigned coach
- Results may be exported as PDF for use with a counselor, spiritual director, or Pre-Cana program of your choosing
- If either partner requests deletion of their GIFT data, the shared results will be removed from both accounts
6. Confidentiality
6.1 Our Commitment
FAFE treats coaching communications as confidential. Your coach will not disclose the content of your sessions to other FAFE users, your family, your employer, or any third party except as described below.
6.2 Exceptions to Confidentiality
Confidentiality has legal and ethical limits. We may be required or permitted to disclose information if:
- Danger to Self or Others: We have reasonable belief that you pose an imminent danger to yourself or another person.
- Abuse or Neglect: We become aware of suspected abuse or neglect of a minor, elderly person, or dependent adult. All FAFE coaches are mandatory reporters under applicable state law.
- Court Order: We are legally compelled to disclose information by court order or subpoena.
- Your Consent: You provide written consent to share specific information.
- FAFE Quality Assurance: Authorized FAFE administrators may review coaching records for quality assurance, training, and compliance purposes. Such reviews are conducted under strict confidentiality.
6.3 Anonymized Insights
FAFE may use anonymized, aggregated insights from coaching interactions (with all identifying information removed) to improve our services, develop resources, and advance our ministry's understanding of the challenges faced by those seeking authentic love.
7. Session Policies
7.1 Scheduling
- 1:1 Coaching Sessions are scheduled by appointment through the Game of Love platform or via email
- Group Coach Sessions are scheduled at posted times
- You are responsible for managing your schedule and attending sessions on time
7.2 Cancellation
- Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before a scheduled 1:1 session to receive a coaching credit refund
- Cancellations within 24 hours of a scheduled session are non-refundable
- Group session credits are non-refundable if you miss a session without prior notice
7.3 No-Show Policy
If you do not attend a scheduled session without notice, the coaching credit will not be refunded. Two consecutive no-shows may result in a coaching pause, and your coach may reach out to check on your wellbeing before scheduling future sessions.
7.4 Session Duration
- Message a Coach: asynchronous, with responses within 24–48 hours
- Group Coach Sessions: approximately 60 minutes
- 1:1 Coaching Sessions: approximately 60 minutes
8. Payment and Credits
8.1 Coaching Credit System
Coaching services are accessed through a credit-based system:
| Service | Credits Required |
|---|---|
| Message a Coach (per conversation thread) | 3 credits |
| Group Coach Session | 25 credits |
| 1:1 Coaching Session | 80 credits |
Credits are purchased in packs at $1 per credit through Stripe, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.
8.2 Refunds
- Unused coaching credits may be refunded within 30 days of purchase by contacting [email protected]
- Credits that have been redeemed for coaching services are non-refundable
- See our Terms of Use for complete payment and refund details
9. Crisis Protocol
9.1 Coaching Is Not Crisis Intervention
FAFE coaches are not trained crisis counselors and are not available for crisis intervention. If you are experiencing a crisis during or between sessions:
- Contact emergency services (911) if you are in immediate danger
- Call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) for mental health crises
- Call 1-800-799-7233 (National Domestic Violence Hotline) for domestic violence
- Contact your local crisis center for immediate professional support
9.2 Coach Referrals
If your coach determines that your needs exceed the scope of faith-based formation coaching, they may recommend that you seek professional help from a licensed therapist, counselor, or medical provider. This is not a termination of coaching but a recognition that you may benefit from additional professional support alongside (or instead of) coaching.
10. Termination
10.1 By Client
You may end the coaching relationship at any time for any reason. To do so:
- Notify your coach directly, or
- Email [email protected]
No penalty or fee applies for ending coaching. Unused credits remain available per the refund policy in Section 8.
10.2 By FAFE
FAFE reserves the right to end a coaching relationship if:
- The client consistently fails to engage in good faith
- The client's needs are beyond the scope of faith-based formation coaching
- The client engages in behavior that violates our Terms of Use
- Continued coaching would be inappropriate or potentially harmful
If FAFE initiates termination, we will provide a referral to appropriate professional resources when applicable.
10.3 Coach Reassignment
If a coaching relationship is not a good fit, you may request reassignment to a different coach. Contact [email protected] to request a change.
11. Assumption of Risk and Liability
11.1 Voluntary Participation
You acknowledge that participation in coaching services is voluntary. You understand and accept the risks associated with exploring personal, emotional, relational, and spiritual topics.
11.2 Limitation of Liability
You agree that FAFE, its coaches, officers, directors, employees, and agents are not liable for any outcomes, decisions, actions, or consequences arising from your participation in coaching services. This includes but is not limited to relationship decisions, career changes, financial decisions, or any personal changes you make as a result of coaching.
11.3 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FAFE and its coaches from any claims, damages, or losses arising from your participation in coaching services or your reliance on coaching guidance.
12. Data and Privacy
Coaching data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Key points:
- Session Notes: Coaches may take notes to track progress. Notes are stored securely with restricted access.
- My Story Profile: Accessible to your coach; you control its contents.
- Retention: Coaching session notes are retained for 3 years after the conclusion of coaching services, unless a longer period is required by law.
- Deletion: You may request deletion of your coaching data at any time by contacting [email protected].
- AI Data: Your individual coaching data is not used to train AI models. See our AI Transparency Policy.
13. Acknowledgment
By enrolling in or using coaching services, you acknowledge that:
- You have read and understood this Coaching Agreement
- You understand that coaching is formation-focused and faith-based, not professional therapy
- You accept responsibility for your own decisions and outcomes
- You will seek professional help if your needs exceed the scope of coaching
- You consent to the data practices described in this Agreement and the Privacy Policy
